I took a tour with God through the tungsten steel factory.
I asked if God
was amazed at our human ingenuity to take minerals from the ground and
transform them into useful instruments.
God said, “I guess.”
I asked God
about the seeming indifference in vocal tone.
God said, “It’s just that
you seem like you constantly want my approval. It’s exhausting.”
We
walked in silence for a while. We ended up at the factory’s gift shop.
When God wasn’t looking, I ordered an engraved steel cup. When it was
done I handed the cup to God.
God read the engraving out loud, “Just a
dumb old cup.” God smiled and gave me a hug.
